Over the Easter long weekend, my family and I went on our traditional Easter camp. It all started with a friend's family more than 10 years ago, and each year, we gain more and more campers. This year we had a record of something like 6 or 7 families (more than ever) all camping in a beautiful spot, this year on top of a hill with a fantastic view, for 3 and a half days. My original intent was to grab a few pics in order to get a couple of badges, but I ended up with a decent amount of nice pics so I thought why not share with you guys. Enjoy!
This pic shows the general scene of the campsite. it looks quite flat but we were actually perched on top of a sort of range.
Obligitory bacon and eggs to start the morning. My mouth waters just looking at that pic
Some shots of the view down the east side of the range, home to some of the best sunrises (and moonrises) in the world
Here we have the telescope setup for the blood moon on the sunday night as well as the other beauties of the crystal country skies
Your chair has been stolen
and yours
Mmmhmmm
Waiting for the billy to boil
You're not getting any
Mate's beloved cold steel, goes everywhere he goes, handy for sharpening a marshmallow stick
And my wave, always at the ready
More wood for the fire. Me on the left, my mate on the right, and Steve "Stevo" with the epic beard in the middle, also sporting a wave
Lunch. You can almost hear it sizzling
Relaxing on the third day
And some nice relaxing music, a bit more enjoyable than the previous night's drunk singalong "smurf you im drunk"
Firewood for days
My dad's 25 year old Camper, bought in Switzerland and camping many years since
And my wave again, warming its backside by the fire
Another shot of the campfire as the sun sets through the trees
So long until next time, I'm off to get some badges. (yes that's a shoe in the foreground, i dont even...)
Happy Easter guys!
