Thats what I thought to. I figured it was a lost cause to be honest. Its great what some household products can do. I didn't even have to spend a dime.

This is one of the many reasons I am happy to never have carpets again.  The big problem with removing stains is that even if you do, it leaves a clean spot in the middle of the carpet that makes it even more awful looking than the stain did!   :ahhh

Hardwood and tile is the way to go.  If I should ever buy a place with carpet I'll be tearing that crap out ASAP.
