I got my new camera, a Canon EOS Rebel T5i, back in November, and the weather finally became something I could go out and enjoy taking pictures in.
So I decided to go to Lake Michigan and take pictures of the swells and breaks. I love water in motion.
But I get there and the water is this calm
Oh well, I will just enjoy more of a macro experience of the swells and breaks.
I was out free-hand, no tripod
so, first thing I learned is that I need to be more attentive to keeping the horizon level in my photos (evident by the photos that are NOT in this post. some of them were very mild, but some were as much 40 degrees off). it was very bright out and my eyes are sensitive to light, so I guess I should have brought a hat, but was so excited to get out I did not.
so here are the tiniest wave pictures you might ever see (I think the largest one was about 4") and some other shots I took
Guest star!!This bird almost disappears into the picture, like a shadow on the rocks
