same here,i dont drive a car,atleast now,maybe some in winter,but i have too a toolbox.

with my ride i have some vintage bicycle spanners etc and Soma Woody 20.

and now when they made fixed gears illegal,ill be drivin abit less with bike since coppers are givin tickets for ridin one.ill ride it anyway,f--k the law,but less in the city where thay can stop me easier.

It's probably there way of reighning in the cycle couriers ::), plus most of them probably haven't got breaks on there bikes anyway :D

yep in tv they managed to make the occupation of cycle messenger almost as crazy,childish and outlaw & dangerous to public,as some 1% biker gangs are.really f´king stupid.and hey,i think ne of the best brakes in bicycles is on the fixed gears,there are no brake pads/discs that can break.u only have to lock your feet and stop pedalling and you will stop really good,and leave mean skdmarks too,so u can proof that u really did hit the brakes,and that bus driver didnt.

I've got to say on an aesthetic level fixed gear is about a pretty as bikes get, but they are bloody hard work :o

after youve driven one for a year you dont fear anymore gettin in the seat of one,and u start to master the brakes too,after some scratches and"almost died" occasions :D.

 Surely there has to be a more logical way to keep messengers in line...like licensing and inspection. A while back I saw a SE Draft in a shop,and it's simple lines were elegant.

yep i know,i have this 15mm tug nut key from surly.

and couple c-wrenches.thats a bout all it needs,not even tire levers cause im runnin on 27mm tubestires.
