When InBev decided to own the entire world of beer, I decided to only drink microbrewery products if possible.  Yes it's more expensive, but they taste much better and my consumer dollars mean much more to the small guys than the big guys.  :)

I like a lot of the range of New Belgium (Fat Tire, 1554, Ranger), Rogue River Brewing (Dead Guy Ale), and Full Sail Brewing (Session Black Lager).  There are definitely others, but those come to mind instantly.  :)

My favorite beer the last few years is Franziskaner Weissbier.  I also use it with the Radler mix mentioned above with orange soda.

I drink beer I like, locally, that brewpubs means and smaller breweries, since the big ones mostly focus on slightly bitter, yellowish water. :) I don't brew myself, but have quite a few friends and acquaintances who do (and are actually good at it).

The IMHO best local brewery here is Austmann. I like their stout with blueberries (it is just for aroma, it's not a fruit beer) named Blåbærstout, and  their American style IPA named Humledugg.

I like Franziskaner as well, though I prefer their competitor Weihenstephaner.  (Upper Bavaria for wheat beer, Franconia for lagers, Belgium for sour ales, USA for general insanity and creativity, that's some of my rules of thumb for beer. ;) ) Radler is not something I will ever want to taste again, though. :)

My Favorite German beer is Hacker Pschorr. Favorite American Beer is probably Sam Adams Boston Lager. I've never had a bad glass or bottle of that one. Favorite style is a good German Pilsner or Brown Ale/Lager. I tend to like sweeter beers and nothing bitter (sorry IPAS don't do anything for me). Even with my varied tastes mentioned up above, you find Pabst Blue Ribbon in my fridge. It meets my beer requirements: 1. cheap 2. tastes good 3. comes in a can  :drink:
