Mini solar powered car
on: April 19, 2015, 12:58:19 PM
I got a couple of these when they were on offer for around $1.5 (should be equivalent to 100 euro nowadays..  ::) )

I got mine from SPAMCORP but SPAMCORP currently has them for less, so here are links to both sites:

The reviews were good and right.

The cars are tiny but feel and look well built.
Unlike some more expensive, branded solar powered cars that needed  a few thousand lumens from a torch to barely move (fisher price...) these work well requiring just regular sunlight and move very fast and straight.
They will stop instantly when they reach a shade, so if you do not want to lose them make sure you direct them towards a shady part (otherwise they will just keep going until they crash, they get lost or they roll over)

They are really simple and make great presents for children and adults.

My only regret is that I bought just 2... Everybody wants one now  :D

There are other models too, like insects, but I prefer the simplicity of the car.
In the pictures the car is shown next to a 2 Euro coin, which is what it costs to have..

Buy it  :pok:

I bought one of these two years ago.. couldn't get the damned thing to move an inch in the midday sun...
Ended up putting it in a cache on Zakynthos - if you guys get to the Sunrise Bar in Laganas, check the flower-pot behind the bike-stand for a free solar powered car  :P

They must have improved them or maybe you were unlucky.

Mine run like crazy  :D

Maybe they are using better solar panels now.
