Anybody tried/has the victorinox inox??

..kmanct3 what is the oversized soldier??
I don't have a pic at the moment , it's an oversized version of the original red bezel soldier watch with the nylon/leather band.

I have seen it, but i wonder if it is worth the price, €300 I think, compared to a gshock.

After about 1 week with the DZ09 I decided to write a few things regarding this smart watch.

It looks good (apparently it looks like the samsung)
It does get a huge amount of attention, especially if you speak through it in the middle of a shop.
The notification app works well and i get SMS, phonecalls, games, skype notices through, easily and in the right language.
It can also control the camera of the phone etc.
Bluetooth works OK
The screen is nice to look at and responsive
It feels generally solid and i have not managed to scratch it. Wearing long sleeve clothes helps.
Comfortable and light
Decent microphone and speaker. You get two settings for volume when a phone comes through, so you can have everybody hear you or loud enough just for you. Clear voice.
Battery life seems good.
Nice strap
4 watch faces 3 analogue and 1 digital, the main menu screen
Keeps time well, even when it is not sychronised with the phone
Strong vibration.
supposed to have a FM radio, but ned headphones to work and there is no headphone plug - It must need some sort of micro USB headphones
It works fine as a bluetooth speaker/microphone in the car too.

but,
the build in camera is only 0.3MP and it is very low end. Best used for video. The cover of the camera moves a bit.
It only takes a small SIM card, and mine is the regular size (OK, its huge  :P ), so, I have not been able to use it as a standalone phone, yet.
It will not take a card over 32GB - not a problem, but i bought a 64GB one for it and it did not work. I use an 8GB one now.
It only has the 3 analogue faces and they show very little time and date, time and day, just time
The usual bluetooth limitations on distance from the phone. Basically you need to be in the same room as your phone otherwise it will disconnect and connect every time you get out of the room and return (vibrating).
no wifi
you feel like a plonker every time it rings in public... If you answer your phone the watch broadcasts all you say, so you need to turn the watch off first, before using just the phone.

for $20, not too shabby   :D

Yes , I paid $ 125 US quite awhile ago , my only complaint is battery life. But all in all I would buy another if this one breaks.

A quick update on the jaragar. I deliberately did not wind it up yesterday, and let it "charge" by the auto mechanism only. It worked well while wearing, but it stopped just 2 hours after taking it off.
In comparison the Seiko SKX runs for over 24 hours from a similar "charge".

You need to move your wrist more   :D :D :D :D

When wound it should last more than 24hrs, but on its own you need to be really active.

This arrived from the other end of the EU (Ricardo land)

G-Shock, GX-56 1A, THE King. Basically  a stronger, bigger, more resistant 5600. (think of DSLR names as you go up the range )

Big.

Comparison photographs. It dwarfs the 5600 but looks just a bit bigger than the GA 100

Noticeably thicker

Compared to what many wear nowadays it is not really big.

The GX is right under the SKMEI

The GX looks thicker, rather than wider, compared to most watches.

As I told Ricardo, I just had to try it. It feels lighter than it looks and sits nicely on my arm. I would have preferred the light to be red, rather than cyan as it would have suited the watch more

Cheers Ricardo.

Get one !!

Mrynnr, get one  :D

The issue with the  bezel needing to be higher in order to protect the glass is apparent in the GA100 too, which Additionally has two slits on it  making the bezel even lower at those points. Basically, as the glass face gets larger the bezel needs to get higher in order to offer ghe same protection.
I think it will look good with  a set of protective face bars, popular on baby GS...

I remember a member on Watchuseek who made a "bullbar" for his King from thicker gauge wire than the ones seen on DW6900s and 5600s - IIRC he even made some for sale...

Thanks guys. I didn't even realize all the tech that was in this watch till I read the owners manual. I didn't know ratio controlled watches existed. Pretty sweet. I got it on sale for $300 off. The model is Citizen E650.
