More to 90's metal now, two of my favorites from Megadeth...

Both from the album Crypticwritings:

I love Jack Black, and some of the stuff Tenacious D has done is awesome.

Ooohhhh....

BRAND NEW song released by Disturbed yesterday, 'The Vengeful One'.

Not their best, but still pretty awesome.

And... Okay, there needs to be some SERIOUS warnings before this song.

There's a group called Steel Panther, a parody/homage 80's metal hair band. Their stuff is ... uhh... raunchy.

Seriously raunchy.

If you are 'easily offended', as in, have ANY taste whatsoever, I suggest you skip this one.

I'm serious. The song is entitled 'Glory Hole', and it's a name-says-it-all kind of title

I saw Steel Panther at Wembley a couple of years ago when they opened for ZZ Top.

Joke wore thin very, very quickly! Only cheer they got was when they started playing Smoke On The Water

Oh, I'd never care to see them in concert.

And probably won't ever buy any of their tracks, but thought it was amusing enough to share.

On a completely different tack...

I've heard some stuff by 'Bullet For My Valentine' before, and it ranges. This one has tolerable levels of cookie monster, IMO.

Just bumping this thread...

As you probably know Lemmy Kilmister sadly passed away due to agressive cancer the 28. december, just 4 days after his 70 birthday..  :( Eventhough I've been a fan for over 25 years, I've never seen MÖTORHEAD live, but until a few days ago I was certain that it would happen some day.. But R.I.P. Lemmy and this documentary is worth spending a few hours on..  :salute: :salute:

I am listening to Wisconsin Death Trip by Static X right now, headphones set on 11, and digging through the pages of my favorite site and I discovered this thread. I don't know how I missed it before.

Japanese Metal anyone?
This album is called Ghastly Funeral Theatre.  The band is Sigh.  It's a short album, and honestly not their best work, but I bought the CD several years ago because I liked the cover art and I had no idea what I would get.  I was pleasantly surprised.

I love that album! One of their best. I think I'll go listen to that now actually...

I saw Static-X live back in 99 at Ozzfest on the side stage. Pretty good live. I went back to my seat at the main stage and went to the bathroom and low and behold the bass player for Static-X was watching Primus from the side with a couple of groupies. He was a pretty nice guy.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
