Anybody Have This Mini Cree Flashlight?
on: April 23, 2015, 07:37:20 PM

I have some excess amount on an Amazon card I need to use and found one of these:
  http://www.amazon.com/Flashlight-Modes-Torch-Adjustable-Focus/dp/B006E0QAFY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1429810570&sr=8-2&keywords=flashlight

Does anybody around here have one of these flashlights? Any insights?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I might be crazy but it's kept me from going insane- Waylon Jennings

Quite few here have them

They are considered classics.
The price seems OK too.

Check in the review section for the cheap torches thread (link at the end of my post too)

Very bright and solid.

Not sure how many Amazon reviews you looked at but be sure to specify 1 mode or 3 mode.

I'm pretty sure this is the same version, only with 3 modes, for the same price: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M9ZOL5O/

I have several of these. Great bargain for a flashlight :)

I've had it since this New Year and it's been working perfectly. Mine's 3-mode version. Well, I don't treat it as harshly as my Fenixes for example, just because of its price. It seems to be waterproof, but you never know. It's extremely bright, compared to lots of other lights, but of course, the run times are shorter. Mine works with a lithium battery, too and came with a separate charger.

I have one of these which is decently blight and well made, though a tad yellowish light:

And one of these which is beyond stunning and has a clean strong beam. Far better than the other and blows out similar Western lights. Backside button feels stronger too

They appear to be the same flashlight. Sure the difference isn't just quality control?

I know... they are also both Ultrafires but they feel very different, the black one is lighter, but less posished, the tailcap makes a different click and is smooth and most importantly, the light is whiter and stronger... ow and the zoom mode is less square-ish.
I meant to give one away. but the Black one is too good and the green one is too pretty   ::)

Could definitely be that they are sourcing different parts for different manufacturing runs. :)
