Lanyards with other things attached?

Has anyone made a lanyard that has things attached to it like, say, a bit extender or removable bit driver? Or have any ideas how it could be done?

I'm sure someone could make a cobra wrap/weave around a tube that a bit extender could slide into.

I wonder if it would be okay to drill a hole in one.......

You might be able to make a turks head work. Might- the bit holder might slide out of it, to. It would get in the way in many instances though.
