OMG! SOG build quality has vastly exceeded my expectations!

This guy has a handful of West Marine performance sailing tools left if you contact him directly. Very nice guy but he's not giving them away. I bought one yesterday, I'm a sucker for anything with a marlinspike.

I've been playing with it and the only multitool I can think of in its class in terms of build quality is the Swisstool.
Are all SOGs built and finished this well?
PM me if you want one of my kidneys for your SOG TiNi multitool.
OK, both my kidneys.

If it's built that well, it's probably a knock-off
(j/k)
I think the old SOG's were of reasonable build (but not Swisstool quality), and some of the newer ones are sorely lacking

I agree the early SOGs, Paladin Triplets and West Marine Duo feel fabulous in the hand.
Especially those Paladins
I often get my "SOG Box" out just to admire them!!
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

The 3 Paladin models were PT-510, PT-525 & PT-540 and were all specifically aimed at Data Com work.
Unless another member steps in, I'll post pictures later, can't do anything just yet - we have friends visiting.

Thanks! Blackie Collins? What are those gnarly plier jaws for on the 540?

Knifemaker Blackie Collins designed the Paratool for SOG and one helluva cool sheath too..
