My toy is Spirit. I dont open it that much, but roll it in my hands and through fingers. Weight is good, and it is nice and smoot. Just feels good in hand.

Opening all the tools on my Swisstool.
I do not fiddle around that much.

My leatherman wave blade lock was worn and the pivot point after opening it thousands of times.
I've wondered if that would happen, no, I wondered when that'll happen to me, better.

Right on, thanks for the replies everyone.

Have a great day.

  • Any tool is better than nothing. Some not by much

What other multitool can you balisong?

A good broken-in Leatherman PST. Mine is now a 'flipper', and smooth as butter.

Yup. An old Cabelas Super Tool.

Ugly, scratched, old, but very loose and very fun to flip open.

Which ever tool is in reach - eg EDC for that day, in desk drawer or bedside cabinet
I show no favouritism for this activity !

Usually a SAK though - I love the snap as they clunk back into closed position - and Vics are better than Wengers at this - IMO
- Has anyone noticed that they can even jump up a bit out of your hand with the pressure of the spring closing - more on the 93mm and - as long as you don't hold it too tight. This is great fun.

I do have a regular Swisstool and the clicking and clunking of the tools and locking mechanism as they open and close is very sweet  :tu:
Opening and closing LM pliers is also pretty satisfying.
And OHO is always neat - Has anyone tried the one handed flick on the large Vic or Wengers? - Also great fun
But don't show the law enforcement chaps/regulators - We don't want this classified as a flick-knife/balisong

Also recently bought an old PST BO which is very stiff - even after oiling - so this is getting a bit of a work out at the mo.
BTW - Is that common on BO models?
Love to get one to flip like yours Lynne!!

So as you can see no preferences/regulars!! But definitely guilty.

What puzzles me is I have carried a SAK for decades and never fiddled with it (from memory)
This fiddling thing just started when I got the collecting bug and also joined MTo a couple of years ago ???

Some excellent replies here, thank you all for responding.
I'm loving the feed back.
Cheers.

It is amazing how different we are all alike.
I remember years ago before digital was anything more then NASA related how some would click their mechanical pens.
Snap shut over and over strong paper or file clips \clamps.
Fingernails marching on desks, it all counts.
So small things may amuse small minds, but at least these small minds are using more mass then just being dormant.

Engage it!

Have a great day all!
