Ladybug or Manbug?
on: May 14, 2015, 03:32:30 PM
:ahhh I can't decide which!  I feel like getting a tiny Spyderco, because Spyderco. :)  It's a toss-up between these two, but they're so similar I'm not sure which one.  Any thoughts?

Get a Squeak :pok:

Can't speak for the Manbug, but I found the Ladtbug too small to be of much use
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

I do not think you are allowed to ask this type of questions nowadays. I would just add that the personbug I have is very small but still useable.

What's the difference??

They both seem the same to me. Either one would do for an edc pocket knife. For most cutting jobs in todays 21st century world, you very rarely need more knife, unless you are hunting or doing kitchen work. For many years now, my edc knife has been a very small SAK like a classic, or a peanut. A ladybug or man bug should open any UPS box, mail, plastic blister package, or cut any rope/cord you need to cut.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Both will serve you well. The differences seem minor, but there are plenty. If you are that undecided I would ask yourself if you want a FFG blade or not. The Manbug comes with one. The Ladybug does on certain models come in FFG, but most are Hallow ground. I like that the Manbug has more belly.

:twak:  You're not helping....

@clb- I agree, for most of the cutting I do either of these will be plenty of knife.  Not working retail anymore, most of my cutting now is removing shrink wrap, opening UPS packages, etc.  I like small knives, so gonna try one of these out.

Cap'n, I saw that the Manbug is FFG.  That will probably settle it.  Of course, it's only a matter of time that I have both of them..... ::)

Get both, one plain edge, the other serrated. Maybe a plain edge Manbug and a hawkbill serrated Ladybug.

Did you get your Magbug yet mate?

is it just me, or does that sentence sound very slightly rude?

Oh, a MaNbug.  Well why didn't you say so? ::)

Stupid typing fingers not doing what I tell them!

Back on topic - that's a great looking little knife mate, and I have to say that the FFG would be my preference as well.  :tu:
