In most cases they make no sense.

C = Carbon-fiber

Squirt PS4, ES4
P = Pliers

# = Number outside accessible tools?

Juice SX, C2, CS4, S2, KF4, XE6
S = Surf
X = Extreme sport?
C = Corkscrew
S = Scissors
K = ???
F = ???
X = ???
E = ???
# = Number outside accessible tools?

The real question is, what were they smoking when they came up with that?

I really like this list.

Hopefully we will have some leatherman employees chime in.

I would totally be okay with making this a sticky or having it on a certain wiki page....cough cough.....

I will give it a shot... Juice XE6: X=Roman 10 E=External Tools 6=No of Outside Layers. ie 10 External Tools in 6 Outside Layers... how about that, it makes sense right? Ok, time to put down the bong now :)

I'd always assumed that the Skeletool codes were a throwback to the original models - Skeletool (stainless, plain edge) and Skeletool CX (carbon fibre, serrated edge).  Leatherman use X to denote serrated or combo edge on their knives.  Then LM swapped the blade styles so the standard Skele got a serrated blade and the CX got the plain edge but they didn't change the names.  Freestyle followed the same pattern, which no longer fits with the rest of the lineup.

That make some sense, if they would keep to that system.
