I realize it's not a heavy-duty tool but would you say the pliers could handle a fair amount of torque?

It's early, but I think they'll be as tough as the Charge/Wave pliers head.  Tougher than the Skeletool and probably not as tough as the new Rebar pliers head (because of the replaceable cutters).

BOOM!

Thin electric fence wire

Copper wire

And............

High tinsel barded wire. Now i this I did have to wiggle the plier a couple of time to cut it. Only because the size of the tool. Not because of flexing, or weakness of the cutters.

And here a pic to show no damage to the wire cutters.

Getcha one!

It really appears to be a very well crafted, albeit light duty, MultiTool.  With the pocket clip, it makes an excellent weekend carry.
I am curious as to where these tools are made, as the box says "Designed in the USA".  It really doesn't matter that much, as the quality seems to be top notch, but it does make me curious.

I'm glad to see SOG bring this tool back out. I need one to play with.     :D

You need one for no more reason than it's fun to play with!

Quick update:

The pliers on the Switchpliers are precise enough that they function extremely well as tweezers for removing metal slivers.

Also: The narrow profile makes using the blade much more knife-like and much less Multitool-like

Also the micro teeth on both side of pliers actually line up perfectly, haven't see that on any MT.

Powerlocks and the Paratools do also. SOGs pliers in general line up better than any multi I have ever used or owned.

I want one too but I realize it could never be as cool as a PL the way they swing open so smoothly almost like a butterfly knife. I applied some Vic oil to mine to achieve this affect :D :D

So has anyone gone ahead and successfully put scissors on the 2.0 tool? If so, where did they fit?

Got mine today. :D  It's good fun to play with - the pliers action is great and they seem well made.  Certainly on a par with a Skeletool, if not better.  A bit fiddly to get the inner tools out but they seem effective once you get to them.  Think it'd make a lot of sense to me without the knife so I might see about getting some scissors for it.

Any chance someone could post a size comparison with the skeletool...particularly interested in seeing the thickness

I don't have a Skele any more either, sorry.  It's longer for sure, and feels heavier.  It's probably a little thicker than the Skeletool too.

I posted a couple of pictures with other MT here (including Skeletool): http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,58374.msg1060365.html#msg1060365

And here are 2 pictures comparing the thickness of the 2...
