Good knife, congrats and enjoy it.

I have the standard Grip and it's somewhat bland to me.
Does everthing  on a passing level but does not stand out at any one.
Boring reliable.

I have been hearing about the Omega springs breaking lately so that should spice things up a bit.  :D

Excellent knife though Josh. Enjoy it. I love my Griptilian. I did have more than one bad experiences with Benchmade and the Griptilians, but once everything got sorted I love my current Griptilian.

You really can't compare the two sizes. I would take the mini over the standard one any day.

Is the spring issue only the assisted opening ones? Been looking at getting either an assisted opener or a full auto opener for my firefighting gear. Have tried many seat belt cutters and I have to say everyone I have tried is worthless. A knife works 10 times better and has so many other uses on the fire ground.

Nope. It's with the standard Griptilian and Mini Grip as well as other Benchmades.

I may have been a bit rash as it does not seems to be a huge issue, but it has been happening. I have also heard if you wash you Grip with any sort of soap it can take the coating off the omega springs causing them to rust and break.  The smaller the knife the smaller the omega springs. This is all just what I have read and I am on my iPad so I will check the facts later today and get back to you. I really would not worry about it to much.
