Sak mods liner lock
on: June 24, 2015, 02:03:30 AM
I think I saw where syph007 made a liner lock, and I was wondering if there was any kind of trick to it.

There really is no trick. More like a lot of trial and error, hard work, plenty of elbow grease and making your own liner. YMMV.

To get the fit right alot of trial and error.  I used 0.050" Ti-6-4 which is a natural spring.

I meant to do a proper write up on this and still will, but never enough time lately especially with my 4 yr old out of school now  :ahhh

Here is a lockblade farmer + scissors.

Did you change the shape of the tool at all to get the lock to work?

The only thing I did to the blade was to mill in a 90 degree corner for the lock part to have somewhere to engage.
