What i did today?

After three hours of sleep last night, i decided to take my bicyckle, and go flea market hunting today. First i went to local market to return broken plane that i got couple days ago. Market yard had nice soup lunch for six euro,  and i got my tummy filled. Got better plane, and wood saw with fine tooths for woodwork.

After dinner i went for the flea markets. Nothing ecceptional from the first one, only three files, and a nice small pincers. Never seen this small ones. Pictures to come...

Second flea market was bit better. I found child lock for Abloy lock, and good skillet pan for cooking.

After rain settled, i headed first to post office. Nate, there is something headed to you finally.

Got to market, and got some bread and sider.

Main thing why i got to town, was me and my wifes wedding anniversary. So i bought some red roses for her.

Now i am sitting on park bench sweating. And enjoying my sider.

I bet with the roses your wife wont use your head as a percussion instrument after all  :D

How's the cider?

Oh and what brand is the ride? :)

Don't bet on it mate. My empty head makes some rediculous sounds...

Sider was cheap and good. If you ever get lost, and find yourself near my location, i will buy you a cheap sider and give good directions to home.

Just messing with you. Sauna will be warm everyday if you happen to drop in.

Bike is two months old Nopsa Highway. Got it from Intersport from spring sale. Got deal of two maintenances within year. I think it will need that.

well it sure is. Wife and kids are at her parents cottage/inherited farm(for entire family). I rather spend that time otherwise.

Nice wheels, I'm in a process of getting another bike for longer trips, as the tank of a bike I have now is not quite suited for those... :D

i have seen photos of it, and i think you really should consider something lighter to ride...

Mine is not that light, but rolls so effortlessly... I am pulling wagon with my children on it. Plus all groceries. So i might want to change my tires for better soon...

Ah, so this is a blog thread? Fun idea!

Some fora have a blog feature built in. Maybe def will consider doing it here with some of the surplus operational funds? ;)

:tu: on the biking and skillet. A good weight loss plan is to try to do (most of) one's shopping from a bicycle. Make an exception for toilet paper and heavy liquids, but make a trip every day or so on the bike, instead of one massive car trip per week or two. Maybe obesity isn't such a problem in Finland as it is in the USA... As a side bonus, I find myself buying and eating a little bit less, but higher quality stuff than before. Shopping at Whole Foods instead of Costco, for example.

Yes, that was the plan. Writing little diary along the way. Nothing big.

I am a yoyo dieter. And few years ago i found biking again. Started to take work trips with bike. But every year it pulls so much snow, that winters are off. Alltough there is usually that much of it, so i get exersize from that.

You are rigt about food, and drink. Watch what you eat and drink, and small amounts at a time, will keep your weight in balance.

I was at our family cabin for the weekend.  Day we got there was sunny but windy. We just warmed the place, sauna and water to use. Had great time with kids and wife.

Late at night it started that bloody rain again, so we left to see granny and  great granny. No reason to sit inside four walls with nothing to do...

Picrures may follow, if i get to rezize them...

Very cool! :tu:

Pretty much every finnish guys' dream cabin: cabin, sauna and a fire pit by the lake.. Good for  :drink:, setting things on fire (ie. the sauna) and/or sometimes relaxing (depending on the mosquito population) or even exercise (killing the said mosquitoes) :D
