Howdy
I'm busy restoring a meat cleaver that belonged to my grandfather......proper thread with pics to follow.
Day before last after work I managed to glue on the micarta scales.
Yesterday some crazy lunchtime missioning to free up the afternoon so I can use what little light DST allows..
So I'm busy shaping the handles with the Dremmel, and my breath directed by the dust mask is fogging up my safety glasses.
The sanding belt delaminates, moved the safety glasses up on my head so I can see properly to change the attachment......and off we go again.
Not long after my eyes start feeling.......not right. I'm already holding everything closer to my face due to the fading light, and I realize the safety glasses are still upside my head
So I had a few chunks of hessian, green wool cloth and polyester resin in my eye, suffered a bit......but the cleaver looks spiffy!
But seriously, stupid mistake that could've ended badly.
