The official release date was end of June.
There are plenty around and the cost should be similar to the regular models. Most European dealers should have them by the end of this month...
Then we can sell them to you US people for a lot more..
Some already do that...

Personally, I find it both stupid that someone pays that much and unethical, to sell it at that price:

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

The uninitiated will buy at those prices, not knowing the scoop.  Vic-US and +B really do a job on our John-Q public!

But in actuality, that's how the wold turns...

That's why this forum is so great!  Word slowly spreads and begins to alleviate some of the pent up demand with a few facts and a bit of good information.

Thanks to all the MT.o family!

I got one today. They are all about the same price 40-45-50 Euro Classic-Cadet- Pioneer.

I see no reason to get the smaller ones..

They are a regular, unlimited item, so I can always buy more later.

Just got the Cadet and the Pioneer last friday. I found the classic to be too expansive (around 40 euro's).

Yep, covered in a different thread:  http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,59921.msg1127974.html#msg1127974

In North America, they'll be available sometime in October by phone, if you have the part number.  Supposedly they won't be listed on the Victorinox US/North America website.

I just ordered a Pioneer from this German seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141723192339. Price seemed fairly reasonable to me compared to all the price gouging US jerks on Ebay--really bugs me that people in the US obviously bought up Cutlery Shoppe Farmers and are listing them on Ebay for almost double the price  >:(

I was fortunate to find a German dealer who sold Pioneers for 36 euros and Cadets for 32 euros.Shipping to the US wasn't too expensive.

I also bought several Spartans with unique scales.

I'll post here when they arrive.

I just noticed this pop up on US Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-Cadet-Alox-steel-LIMITED/dp/B010OXG0OC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438744112&sr=8-1&keywords=victorinox+2015

Seems a little expensive to me, or is that a fair price for what it is?

That's the company that BerkshireHunter used to buy his Special Editions.
