Haven't been there in a long time... so pretty...
And how precise is the altimeter in your watch?
Sadly, we can only see the first 2 digits of the "official" altitude (white part of the blue signpost).
When you calibrate the altimeter with a know altitude at the beginning of your trip, and you select altimeter mode, it's very accurate. Didn't notice the altitude on the signpost when I was there (I was looking at my Swisstool ... ), so I can't say how accurate my Suunto was there, but during our descend from Mount Titlis, the most he was off was about 10 meter. My Casio Riseman (which I carried with me in my photobag) was 20 to 30 meters off.
Like I said, you need to calibrate the altimeter as much as you can (goes for every altimeter), when I see a signpost, or a building with the real altitude on it, I caibrate my altimeter. But I was impressed by the Suunto Core (just like last year in Austria ).
We are excessive about that
I think I would like a watch with altimeter (although the altitude is labeled everywhere).
