Yes!!!!!!

That's a beauty Jaydar!!!!!  I don't recall seeing an example of that stamp on an ALOX either.    ???

I am constantly amazed to see blades broken on theses knives...I mean it has 2 built in screwdrivers.  :ahhh

Those are not really common. I`ve only seen those stamps for alox knives with the old triangular awl, so the first alox ever produced.

I have the same marked alox too.
"Victoria" stamp and old awl style.  I wanted to start a post trying to find more info on it, but you beat me to it.

Looking at the knowledge section...there is another ALOX pioneer/soldier with the old awl style but has the "fisher" markings. dated 1966-1973.  I wonder if this one is from around the same time or older.

I should have scrolled down a bit more before responding... :-[

Very interesting.  Do you know what dates these first ALOXs came out?

Here`s a picture from a catalog.

Those on the right are exactly the models I`ve shown in my picture above. In the right corner of this catalog page you`ll see the marking 1958.  That could be right, it has to be before the 1961 alox soldier came out. Those old models exist also with an elinox stamp. Sometimes, they changed the blades so its quite difficult to say if those are always the original blades and markings.

I need to find an old awl gold pioneer to replicate this photo ... I wish they had done the old pioneer in the green :)

Holy thread resurrection Batman! I'd head on over to the SAKwiki, they have a section on Victorinox tang stamps you should find helpful.

Not mine to my regret :)
