Gerber Warranty Question

My 6 month old Octane suddenly has a problem.  I carry this everyday and yesterday the blade is all loose and won't lock, but rather folds back.  So I am sending it in on warranty today.  I've never tried this with Gerber.  How long does it usually take?  I am really going to miss this knife.  I really don't have anything to replace it with while its gone.  I wonder if they will fix it or send a new one.

As for a time frame its hard to say. It varies on how busy there warranty service is which fluctuates. I would say 2-3 weeks total including shipping times. Gerber literally has the best warranty I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with quite a few companies warranty department.

I've used them twice and have had very quick responses. While it's gone, it may be a good time to pick up a wingman or something similar to try out for a while.
