My AR and AK keychains
on: July 26, 2015, 03:54:18 AM
So its been over two years now since I had my original idea for an AR shaped keychain.
I sketched it, resketched it, and resketched it for the better part of 18 months.
I scoured the internet to make sure I hadnt copped anyones idea and then I finally got the cojones up to throw some money towards a project.

It was something that I wanted so I decided to do something about it.

I had two designs at first, got a few done and posted them just to show off and a few people were interested, so I did more.

I started 'a business' on instagram/social media for a bit, did one gun show and moved on.

Anyways, the idea came to me after a range trip with my father. That night, as I was lying in bed about to fall asleep the AR idea came to me.  I later, once finalizing the AR design, changed it to work with an AK variety.

I like it, its different and suits my various interests...guns and EDC

Was a fun experiment and have begun work on new ideas (which wont be posted here for obvious reasons/not a sponsor yet).
Maybe I'll fire em up again to take to local gun shows come Christmas time. Maybe.

Anyway, enough rambling, on with the pictures.

The first one made, first test pop

Its a bottle opener and the stock can be used as a light prying tool as well as some screwdriver duties

I still carry the AR version on my keychain

That is very nice. I can see those being very popular at the gun show. The mag could have been a Phillips driver.  :pok:  :)

original idea had that, but I'd had to have extended it too far to make it usable. Trust me, I tried.
But I'd rather have one less screwdriver and have it scaled to actual AR and AK weapons

Please do not do that on my account. I tend to be hoarder when it comes to anything multi-toolish.  :D
