Tool Clip?
on: July 31, 2015, 04:14:30 PM
I've seen pictures of the Tool Clip but there doesn't seem to be any information about it on the SOG website. Anybody have info on it?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I had one. Didn't care for it. The tool package and size was good; it's about the size of a 91mm 2 layer SAK, only not quite as smooth around the edges.

The first time I tried to use the wire cutters on a piece of 10 gauge copper wire, it bent the cutters. I haven't seriously considered SOG since then. (until now)

In short, great idea, poor material choice, in an attempt to build to a low price point. They're good for collectors only, IMHO.

Was that the full sized one, or the micro? I would be very surprised if you had that failure on a Toolclip, though maybe not as surprised on a Micro Toolclip. The original full sized toolclip is a very robust item

Smaug, I bet you mean the Micro Tolclip, as the Toolclip is far bigger than a 91 mm SAK.
