Cheap colorful drawer liners for MTO storage
on: August 03, 2015, 05:17:14 PM
I picked up 2mm Silly Winks 12" x 18" foam sheets from Hobby Lobby yesterday for $0.89 a sheet. They have a variety of colors and thicknesses, so you aren't limited to black tool box liner: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/crafts-hobbies-and-fabric-crafts/craft-foam/craft-foam-sheets/

Here is my meager collection with the newly lined drawer (royal blue foam) in an old mahogany desk I have: .

Anyone else find some good drawer liner solutions other than the typical stuff Home Depot and Lowes sells? Never hurts to have a thread about good drawer liner materials, does it? :)

I'm sure some cheapo kitchen drawer liner would work.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I've used the mesh type grip stuff before.

Not a big fan of it personally. The adhesive kitchen drawer liner I have seen is typically not padded. Without any padding for MTOs to sink into just a bit, they tend to slide around in the drawer when you open it.

This is the same stuff I use, but it seems to leave some kind of oily residue on anything sitting on it.
