I used to live this challenge every day.  When I first started in my trade all I had was a squirt p4. I remember one of my foreman asking to borrow a knife and laughed when I gave him my squirt. I pointed out that it was still a knife and better than anything he had on him.
If it's stupid and it works.....

I might join, not sure yet but the 58mm Challenge was a ton of fun. See if I can break a Squirt (I already know its dishwasher save :tu:)
I even have two cheapo copies (bought them because they have metal scales and I wanted those for a mod).
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Sorry Kam, I did one of the earliest minimalist challenges and was one of the first to bail. Some days I can get away with it, but I found that on other days it was a problem. I've not done any of the challenges since  :salute:

Besides which, I need scissors and pliers, which means I'd have to buy a new tool (or use a Dime  >:D) and I'm trying to offload most of my gear not get even more stuff  :D

I've just ordered squirts and they should be here in time so I'll join in. I couldn't decide which so got both the ES4 and PS4.  I'll post a pic when they arrive, I'll use the ps4 for the challenge.

Might actually end up getting a PS4 for this one. Already got a P4, but a whole month without some sort of scissors on me, would probably not be feasible...

It just occurred to me that it is kind of strange that the prize for the Leatherman Challenge is a Victorinox.

Jeez,

Settle pettles. The rules state that you can use other proper tools, and if you have to resort to a bigger multi tool, fess up and be honest and retire then. No need to not have a crack, see how you fare, need to be in it to win it.

I say wear the tread and if you use it, tell everyone, just be honest. Easier if you didn't wear it though, as then you would only be able to tackle what you may need to with the Squirt
