I'm back guys, thank you for all the prayers and wishes. I had a pretty rough month+. All in all, I have suffered from chronic  neck and upper back pain for a few years and ended up hooked on the pain meds. Went and did a 30 something day treatment. So as of 07/29/15 I am sober!

Josh
Its tough isn't it. I'm currently the same on my pain meds but there's no real alternative at the moment ::)

Glad your fighting for again mate :)

I also have neck and back pain but I've not resorted to meds yet.  I worry about the addiction and so I use an inversion table plus core strengthening and stretches.  Honestly my neck is getting worse while my back is at a manageable level.

Good luck Mike on finding an alternative or something that can be paired with the meds.  It sucks to wake in pain and know the day will be more of the same so all the best gents.

Excellent! :tu:  Addiction is a scary thing, but it can be overcome. Keep with your program, build a network and use it, and you'll be just fine.

Yeah this well used body is wearing our.  Rotator cuff both shoulders, tennis elbows, and forearms.  Repetitive motion for the last 20 years has taken its toll.  I do lots of stretching and Physical Therapy to keep then strong and moving.

I've finally decided last year to take Ibuprofen and Extra Strength Excedrin for the pain.  I've just battled thru it for years with only PT.

My friend who pushed a pencil and works from a computer all day also is feeling the effects of getting older.  It's not just those of us who have a physical job.

Getting old is not for the faint of heart for sure!

Good to have you back Josh.  I had been wondering how you were making out.

Don't forget about us.  One of the great things about a forum is that you have lots of friends here, but no one knows what you look like or have any mutual friends/social circle.  We have most of the benefits of good friends but none of the concerns about keeping things in confidence.  And, we are here for you around the clock.

We look after our own.  Always have, always will.

One day at a time man.  Hang in there.  You got this.

And if you forget that, there's a whole forum full of people right here to remind you, whenever you feel you need it.
