New member. Hello to everyone!

I've been working on my Cadet collection. This is what I have so far: Color/Shield/Ring.

Thank you. I'll definitely post pics sometime soon. My list looks a bit confusing and I can't edit any longer. I may reformat it and post as a reply here.

Purple - there are two versions, with and without keyring

Yes, that green too, but you weren't specific on the greens, and there's just too many of them to remember in the first place.

The story of the gold Cadet is a personal one to me because it made me pretty mad. In 2012, Victorinox made 50 gold and 50 blue Cadets with keyrings and black pouches, for a Swiss boutique company called Onyva. These also came with a nice presentation card, and have been very, very hard to get. I ended up trading about 350$ into the set. By the way, you can add the Onyva blue Cadet to your missing list.













The problem is the fact that neither of these were etched and numbered. Then this year for some reason Victorinox made another gold Cadet for Seitz Kreuznach, which is IDENTICAL to the very hard to find Onyva. Of course the only difference is in the pouch and card. Here is a photo of a 2012 Onyva gold Cadet and a 2015 Seitz Kreuznach Cadet next to one another:



As you can see, they are identical. I got very mad about this and even talked about it with Robert Elsener but got to no good answer on why this happened. In any case, with the behavior of Seitz Kreuznach owners, I don't think they will be getting any more alox any time soon.

Very interesting and good information, MWDP. I've only been at this for a couple of years and obviously have much to learn. Thanks for the detailed response.

On a side note, I might just be happy remaining a second tier collector, sticking to colors and ignoring the history. But then that's hard to do.

I did not keep the second Seitz gold Cadet. It's identical and it didn't feel right having it in the collection
