Wave 'secret' lanyard ring - do all latest versions have it?

I discovered that the latest version of the wave apparently comes equipped with a secret lanyard loop installed next to the file and I thought 'great' no need to buy the aftermarket quick release loop. However, after looking at various photos of the Wave it seems that some of the latest incarnations have it and some don't. For example, photos that have quick release loop fitted surely don't allow room for the 'secret' lanyard and vice versa.
Are some fitted with it and some not?

My Wave and my previous Wave both have the lanyard loop. It's underneath the Saw. I have the pocket clip installed on mine and that is where the detachable lanyard loop fits. I'm pretty sure it's under the Saw on every Wave.

Not really a secret, just most people overlook it, including myself.
It is clearly shown on the manual.

Yup, it's on every Wave. Some even remove it as then they have the option to install the removable lanyard ring there. One side for the pocket clip, other side for the removable lanyard ring.

So, is that correct, if you want to install the quick release lanyard ring you have to remove the built in ring, they don't work in unison?

No. They can work in unison no problem. It's just if you want to use the pocketclip AND the quick release lanyard at the same time that you need to remove the built in one.
