Here's today's ECD with explanation (I always like to know why someone is carrying what they are carrying, so I will just explain):
(Image removed from quote.)
Hankerchief:Not sure I spelled that right, but anyway, when its cold outside, my nose tends to run. Its also a habit I picked up from my grandfather years ago, I always wanted to be like him-I'm 18 now.
Wallet:Keep Id and money there, enough said.
Leatherman Charge ALX:Always a useful tool. At work I have "real" tools, but its a far walk from a boat to my tools.
Spyderco Endura 4:I always like carrying a folder clipped to my pocket because its easier to take out then the Leatherman when something needs to be cut quickly.
F150 Key:Key to my FX4 F150
House Keys and Garage Keys:Needed to get into my house and garage.
Victorinox Explorer:Didnt use it at all today, but also didnt happen to do any electrical work. I like the small blade for electrical work.
Leatherman Squirt E4 (RadioShack Editon):I usually find having wire strippers useful and I have only been carrying it since Friday but havent used it once so far. I also dont carry my wallet and keys around with me at work because the generators can mess up your credit cards and some of the bilges in the boats are very deep and I would be very sorry if I dropped my keys in there-so they stay in my locker. Thats the reason that I carry a Vic Explorer for electrical work as well.

Oh, great I saw the pic of the Spyderco and now I miss carrying mine. :twak:  I was almost to the level of being a SAK purist.   WHATEVER

Well if that doesent make you feel too good, heres a picture of todays EDC, I like my Spydercos, but my Benchmades and Kershaws also get a chance:

BTW, you cant be an SAK purist by choice, it just doesent happen.

If you like folders at all, you're gonna go back.

I tried that one, it lasted about 2 hours and I put a folder in my pocket.

Thanks. It's pretty cool. It's tough as nails too. Got it a couple of days ago from my wife for our anniversary. Review to follow.

Got another one, this time I have a real camera, so the cell phone is in the picture.

I actually started with the Military, and then put it down and picked up one of my Delicas.

Yeah, SAK man.

I actually find it hard to carry a Leatherman because when Im at work, I wear coveralls, so I cant really pull it off.

Speaking/seeing of surefire stuff our local cutler is carrying pens and lights from Surefire now.  I just haven't been bitten by the light and pen buck enough to shell out over $100 for either.  Not knocking them in anyway just my own opinion.   :)

I've already paid for >$100 lights, but there is no way I'm paying that much for a ball point pen, or any pen really.

Fountain pens are exception, pending wallet approval.  :D Gimmicky pen like SF I'm not interested in.

Left-to-right:

Sansa Fuze: Best MP3 player I've ever had.

Eee PC 700: Proving that great things come in small packages.  Also, what EDC kit is complete without Perl, the "Swiss Army chainsaw" of programming languages.

32GB Flash Drive: For software, files, etc.

Pen: Stole it off my desk at work.

LM Crunch: Just replaced my Blast.

VIC Super Tinker: I decided that a SAK and LM weren't too much weight.

T-Mobile Dash: Nice little gadget.  A bit dated compared to newer ones, but it's served me well going in to its third year.  Serves as my camera, make-do MP3 player, web browser, notepad, oh...yeah...and telephone.

Not pictured: credit cards, work ID badge, backpack, etc.

Money clip with credit cards
Chap stick
Classis Red Static
BIC mini lighter
Spirit
Vic belt keeper

As far as main knife I trade off between
OHT in Kydex sheath (work),
Benchmade Gripatilin,
Spyderco Endura 4
Boker Gemini.

When I feel guilty about not carrying a SAK then I clip a Pioneer to the belt keeper and then my mind is clear.

Maybe I don't carry alot at least compared to this guy.   http://aqdwr.org/knives/bob/index.html   :o

Here we are in May and a few changes has been made.

I got rid of the Gripatilin put the Boker away.

The OHT rides in my AWOL bag that goes to work with me
and I carry the Spyderco has my primary OH opener.

Plus I don't feel guilty anymore about not carrying a SAK for a primary so I put the Pioneer away too.

Please don't come to my house with torches and pitchforks... :twak:

I occasionally carry a nightstick or popularly known as expandable batons for EDC.
If I need to pick some good EDC tools.
Then I would take my love leatherman multi tool wave and a flash light. Other are just a waste !!!
