Nice, will the blade lock?
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Not yet. That's what I'm working on. As seen in the original blade there is a cut out on both sides of the blade for the lock. The regular blades doesn't have this.

Is that going in this mod? If so I may have one here.

Well, I'd call that a win-win... no reasons for a delay in the mod AND you have replacement on the way :D

Was there ever an update on the status of this Mod? I am in a similar mind as I love the scales but I have also debated on just cutting/grinding down the blade profile to only include the "tip" wrench for ease of opening as I'm not sure a nail nick would be feasible.

It's going to look odd but it seems to be the least difficult way of making the knife somewhat pocket-able.

All that being said I'm not the most mechanical of guys and the thought of buggering up one of these knives makes me cringe so I haven't been past the napkin sketch phase.

"IT'S ALIVE" - Dr. F.

Figured I'd Necro this thread as I'm still interested in modding mine and was wondering if it was ever completed.

Holy necro project.  This sounds like a fun mad scientist style project.  I don’t know if Steve is still doing mods but I’m down for a new challenge.

Yeah,
And, although I'd love to use the Titanium scales in a mod, I am NOT ready to use my Titanium 1 as a donor for that...

Plus, looks like the pins are reverse on the Titanium lineup :
If you look closely, the blade is on the opposite side of the SAK compared to a standard 85mm, the third pin is closer to the blade pivot on a standard 85mm

It’s probably easier and potentially cheaper to have someone make titanium scales in that shape for standard 85mm pin layout.
