Leatherman Signal - The Mall Ninja's Multitool

I was really looking forward to write a in-depth review for Signal, but I am not going waste my time to write it or your time to read it, so I will keep it short for you:

I'm bumming to hear this.  I'm following your post on the Signal thread so I know already.  I do hope LM is reading that thread and is not so committed to the design that they don't come back and make changes.

Glad I already have a Wave  :tu:

Wow, you were optimistic about the Signal...cautiously optimistic, but still. And you were going in to it accepting that it would need some mods. This is telling. Sorry dude. Sucks when you shell out bucks for a clunker.

Well Leatherman is going to refund me, I just need to pay the return shipping.

I will buy another one in the future when I found a deal; I am not going to hack a tool I paid MSRP for.

   I was all over this when I saw the topic, being a mall ninja and all.  What really sealed it was when you said you'll return it for a refund!  :ahhh :ahhh

In pliers mode, the handles are at 21* when pliers are fully closed, (to avoid crushing the file and ferro rod) at this degree I can not get a good girp on them.

Awl is in very odd shape and perform poorly

I fancy the hammer on Signal but because the hammer:
1. I lost all the implements in that handle.
2. I can't not use the bit driver with the MT close, very awkward.

I don't care about the add on file and ferro rod, but the tool (knife n saw) became less comfortable to use if I ditch the add on stuff

Thanks for the info. The biggest concern for me is the handles being so wide open. I already have a hard time with most MT's as my hands are not very large. One reason why I like the Gerber MP400 and 600. They are the best for smaller hands.

I wish you would review it anyway. So folks can see why you dislike it so much.
