BO Wave mod
on: September 30, 2015, 03:57:21 PM
BO Wave
- Added Flik scissors(Didn't make them lock like Metro)
- Added Awl
- Added SV30 blade

Removed:
- Serrated blade
- Wave scissors

I might end up making the scissors lock and pinning the spring like Metro did here.

Right now it works for me because i mostly use them for cutting Cat6 and ty-wraps. The blade is fantastic and holds an edge a lot better than the standard blade.

Yes, I cut down an s30v blade. The facility I work in has this great policy about knives having blades shorter than 2.5 inches. I still have more cleanup work to do on the blade and actually plan on taking it down a little more before I'm finished. I used a combination of a cutoff wheel, sanding drum and files, making sure everything stayed cool to not ruin the temper. It's actually very usable at this length and still holds an edge really well.

Now in the right place :D

Great job. Personally, I find the shortened blades overall shape aesthetically more pleasing :salute:
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Very nicely done

I think the only thing I would have done differently in your shoes, would have been to leave the serrated blade and get rid of the plain edge. Reason is, I tend to have a separate knife for most of my cutting tasks, and if I have a knife on my multitool, I prefer it to be different and complimentary to whatever knife I'm carrying, which is why I don't mind combo-edged knives on multitools.

All in all, that looks an excellent pocket tool. Well done :hatsoff:

How are the flik scissors compared to other multitool scissors? Meaning are they good for cutting stuff?
