My attempt at a One Piece Merit Badge
on: October 16, 2015, 09:45:51 PM
I looked at Noa's bid for a One Piece Tool Merit Badge and realized that's a badge I still don't have.  So I grabbed a few of the easiest to grab tools and this is the result.

What do you think?  Do I qualify for a One Piece badge?  :D

BTW, bonus points if you can spot and identify the one really rare and special piece in that photo!  :D

Correction, not that one, I know which one it is but as I directed the guy from Serbia to sell it to you, that would be cheating if I played, right?

Not sure a P38 or P51 can opener counts as one piece....  :pok:

Badge application null and void  :P

I kind of figured it would be the Z-Rex prototype.

Do carabiner tools count as a one-piece tool? Technically they are made out of more than one piece.

Grant, with your recent experiment with $2 ebay tools, I bet you could put together a picture of one of the cheapest budget OPT sets that still meets the merit badge requirements. :)

Ok, according to the rules, there needs to be ten one piece tools in there.   Not counting duplicates,  let's see if there are ten that meet the criteria.....

1- Leatherman T Rex
2- Leatherman Brewzer copy
3- Raker Ring Tool
4- Leatherman Croc
5- Superior Titanium Shark
6- CRKT Eat'n Tool
7- Nite Ize Doohickey
8- Surefire Piranha
9- Hand Stab gizmo
10- Gerber Shard

So, out of all of those there are at least ten that should qualify?

Well, I mean I could just award myself all of them, or even just the ones I qualify for, but where is the fun of that?

And what is the point of a collection if you can't share it with folks? Especially those that can appreciate them..... :D
