The full sized one with the hole sounds perfect.

As for the price it is not something that bothers me. For something I will keep and use for so many years 30 or 40 dollars more is a non issue. Wether or not the price is fair is another discussion.

Granted it may be 3 times the price of a Delica but I don't need anymore Delicas lol.

Delly pic!

Colonial Army Air Core Survival Knife, I have one in really nice shape to commemorate my grandfather as he would have had one during his B-17 bombardier days. This one is a little nicked up, will be fun to hack on stuff with it. Pictured with my 93mm Vic Farmer, this thing is a beast.

Based on my familiarity with free weights, I'd say 2.5 lbs or so

Been wanting one of the Lionsteel SR1 or SR2s for a while, but couldn't see springing for the $200/$180 price that they often sell for. Then this week, BladeHQ put the SR2 black blade versions on sale for $135 shipped.

Very nice quality knife with good fit and finish and feels very solid with the aluminum handle.

Lion Steel makes some great knives.I bought the SR1 and SR2 several years ago.I can never seem to leave a knife alone if I see an opportunity to make its appearance even more attractive.I took mine apart and mirror polished several parts including the blade pivot pin and the outside heads, the blade stop pin,the steel insert for the frame lock, the frame locking device and the pocket clip.

Got the CRKT Razel SS7 on Woot for $80 http://sport.woot.com/offers/crkt-razel-ss7-machete-2

Don't be suprised if you guys see an influx of Razel SS7 on eBay these days. I only bought one knife on Woot out of curiosity. It is definitely a beast. I only wish the tip section of the spine has a 30-degree bevel, which will shorten the cut length of the chisel end, instead of a short sharp blade. This way, the effectiveness of the serrated blade on the spine will not be compromised. The chisel will somewhat allows a bit of batonning, and the knife as a whole will be a bit safer to handle.

Found this CRKT C/K Dragon over at Big 5 Sporting Goods for $22. Guess these are discontinued $90 knives.

It fit the hand, was reasonably priced. Has two square pieces for belt attachment options - didn't see any quick release doo-dad as seen in their video. Has good balance, is light in weight, though that sheath will probably draw more attention than the knife would.

Nice!  I still have the pilot's survival knife (PAL?)  that was my great-great uncle's who served in WWII through Vietnam.   I've wanted one of those for a while--missed out on some auctions that were sub $20.

To provide a useful review, I'd have to start carrying the SR1 instead of my Pioneer X--sacrilege!  :twak:

Seriously, though. I got hooked on Pioneers for daily carry last fall, and now that the Pioneer X came along, I just am totally happy. So I bought the SR2 and ZT 0566 because they were my wishlist items, not so much for an EDC. Just can't give up the Pioneer :)

I will say that the solid aluminum frame is REALLY cool because it's a folder with fewer pieces (no scales to attach). I love how that simplifies the design concept, although admittedly harder for them to manufacture. It's not as heavy as I thought it might feel, and the grip texture feels good to me. It would be interesting to see an alox SAK with something similar (admittedly, partially to have another optional model to collect).

I do think if I decided to go back to a flipper, the SR2 could end up in my pocket all of the time. Before I started going steady with the Pioneer, my favorite was the Kershaw Knockout, which is why I got the 0566--very similar design. But I definitely think the SR2 could maybe take that slot. It's a good size for pocket carry to me.

It's incredible how cheap and useful some knife discoveries are.

I got this knife last month for $3 and it's replacing my CRKT Minimalist as the small fixed blade of my EDC.
Inexpensive, lightweight, a true slicer and still kinda of "Wharncliffe" style blade like my Minmalist has.

Not as thick, longer, but same thickness and I made a simple sheath for it.

Cuts like the dickens and rides in the pocket unnoticed, flat and comfortable.

Love it, easy to clean and use.

My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

Nice!  Same variation I have.  It's one of my favorite folders.

It's in nice condition too, looks like new to me.  Mine's in workhorse condition with a ratty sheath (still is just as sturdy as new, though but I don't use that sheath or store the knife in it, as it's mildewed and turns the bolsters  of the Buck green if I store the knife in there for more than a couple days), and in addition to an oversharpened with a grinder mess on the blade, there's several dings and gouges in the brass and a round dent in the Dymondwood--like someone used it as a hammer more than once.
