Got a new Chinese Kissing Crane SodBuster, one of my favourite patterns. The Case feels the best but the Kissing Crane is not far behind.

Shown with two other practically identical sodbusters and two other similar Kissing Cranes from Italy.

very nice, my casexx sodbuster jnr is a favourite edc for me,  :tu:

Zed,

The Remington's are nice, at least for the earlier Camillus built stuff. I own alot of Camillus built Remingtons, mostly Scout pattern knives. All good. This new Stockman I got is real good. The newer remington stuff being made by Bear & Son has been a hit and miss affair though. I have one of these and it's OK, a Reproduction Scout......but have seen some others that were absolutely horrible.

I try to stick with the earlier Camillus built stuff.

2xTap

do the early ones say camillus on them ? what are the tell tell marks

Zed,

No, the Camillus built Rem's don't say Camillus on them anywhere. So as not to confuse, when I mention the earlier Camillus built Remingtons I am referring to the Remingtons of the 1980's and 1990's and those built up until the original Camillus closed it doors back in 2007.

The tell tale marks of a Camillus built Remington, at least for me, aren't easy to quantify into words. I grew up with Camillus knives so I have a long familiarity with their build quality, style, and patterns. But knowing year of manufacture is the easiest way to determine a Camillus built Remington slipjoint.

But even without that, even with similar patterns in hand, it's noticable to tell the difference between a Camillus or Bear built Remington (after the bankruptcy of Camillus, Bear & Son did acquire some of the old Camillus tooling) if you are familiar with how each company builds their slipjoints.

The Barlow is a eye-catcher. I own a few Barlows but they ain't really my thing. But this one I couldn't pass up. I missed them when they were first released but SMKW still had some in stock, had a decent price on them too when they last aired them on their show.....I jumped at one before they were all gone.

GG,

Very nice bud. Love that Snakewood, and yours has a real good pattern grain to it. Can't recall, is this one of the steel bolster versions?

Thanks buddy!     It looks to be nickle silver on the bolsters but I'm not 100% sure?

GG,

Check the model number on the tube your Toenail came in, is it a 362210 STL?

If so it is a Steel Toenail.....carbon steel blades, liners, and bolsters.
