The only problem with these knives is the price! I got this in good used condition off ebay for about 1/3 of what they cost new. http://www.heinnie.com/Boker-Knives/Folding-Knives/Sporting-Knife/p-116-970-3263/

Yeah, they are expensive.  Usually about $150 here in the US.  I would easily take that one for 1/3 the price though, especially with the pouch and chain.

You did good!  :tu:

Well, this thread got me thinking I hadn't gotten a new knife in quite a while. ::)  So to remedy that I decided to pick up a Rough Rider Trapper (in yellow).

As anyone who has had a Rough Rider pocket knife will tell you; the quality is very good and the price is even better. :tu:  Not utterly flawless, one scale has a tiny gap, but still represents unbelievable value. :salute:

As a small aside I would question just how easily it falls into the 'reason free' UK category.  I say this as the cutting edge is right on the money at 3", which is what the Law stipulates, but measured tip to bolster it obviously breaks the 3" length.  So while technically OK (in my opinion) I am also not sure I'd like to have to argue the Legal nuances with a Police Constable on the street corner. :-\

What's a beartrap backspring?

beartrap means too strong; able to chop off a finger when closing and really hard, to impossible, to open normally, Kirk

I consider "beartrap" springs to be stiff and snap open/shut like a beartrap.  They're hard to open, but I have tough nails and like the springs this way--especially with halfstops.  I can understand someone with weak fingernails disliking them, however.

I like the bone on that jack JD!

Here are a couple of closer shots of the barlow, to show the bone a bit better.  I've always liked bone that shows the marrow groove like these.

...and here's my favorite "user" GEC, a 66 Tidioute Stockman w/paper micarta scales.  I'm carrying this one today.

+1  I love my 32087.  The yellow Derlin is a classic, no-frills look to a knife like that.  I've got five or six yellow handle Cases in my collection.  On a user they're great.  :tu:  Now you need a Peanut, and a Sodbuster, and a Slimline Trapper, and a medium Stockman, and a ......  :pok:  >:D

From top :

SRM H02
Vic pruning blade (or something like that)
Vic floral knife
Spydie Pingo Pin
Spydie Bug

It's really hard to believe hoe sharp that bug is. A REAL knife, even with it's tiny size :tu:
