Slimline juice
on: November 08, 2015, 11:00:03 PM
I think metro did one awhile back so here's my go. It will have either g10, aluminum, or carbon fiber scales. Who knows maybe even a toothpick and tweezer slot.

If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

As of right now it's 2.65 oz or 75.126 grams. So it's very light weight.

Interesting, was thinking of doing something similar to my XE6... how is the grip comfort?

Why not? As it stands its too large, meaning I would choose the Spirit over it every time, it needs to be significantly smaller to be carried.

Grip comfort is ok right now. The person in doing it for has chosen g10 for the scales. Should be better after that.

Grip comfort is ok right now.

I have sweaty hands so a combination of small size + thin handles + polished metal almost certainly results in a torture device for me ;)

What a neat idea.  Perfect accompaniment for a Vic Compact or Climber.  Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Hey there, Steve. Looking forward to seeing your project. It makes me want to revisit my never completed Evil's Elixir: A liner locked Leatherman Juice project. I went through all of the time and effort to make the liner locked layer with new blade. It sat and got misplaced for over five years, along with a few other projects. When I finally found it again, many parts seemed to have gotten lost. Since it was missing so many parts, I decided I was going to either: lighten the loadout and create a thinner tool, such as what you are doing, or try and procure the missing parts and complete the original plan for the tool. I always felt it was a shame that it never got finished. I'll have to take inventory of what is actually missing. If you happen to have any of the parts I may need after your done and you are willing to sell them, I can trade you for... cash. Sure, I could make my parts from scratch, but, at this moment that is more time and effort than I am willing to invest in it because I have more pending projects.....

I like the skeleton more than the tinish scales (mine are a dull grey). Why not leaving it nude, a Skelejuice?

That's just what he wanted ;). If he had wanted a skeleton then that would have worked also.
