My friends work key ring with a blast on it. Four and a half pounds of keys for EDC would suck.

That's insane. o.o  At that point I'd just do whatever I could to figure out some master key for each series of keys, and especially not carry a full sized Leatherman on it.  :ahhh

One ring on there is all masters,another is sub-masters another is for mech,electrical closets. The smallest ring is for the campus town houses and the Army ROTC building. Plus rings for elevators, windows,paper product despensers,tool lockers ect ect...

 20 years ago that key ring had one ring on it. Lost keys,break ins, vandalism, core changes and new buildings added more keys over that time.  The Blast was for show and add to that montrosity.

That key ring needs shoulder straps.   :D

That key ring needs its own zip code.

Me? I like to travel as light as possible, with only one key and my alarm fob:

Well it does look rather ball-and-chain-y; the Blast could be the attachment for the ball of keys. o.o;

Anyway, this morning I switched out my Alox Classic SD for a Squirt P4 on my keys, seeing if I can stand that additional weight and bulk during the dead heat of summer.
