Yes Ben, it's the clip so far. Oh and it's Sunday tomorrow so we're going to do a spot of gardening if the weather holds  :o

I didn't use the clip for a long time, but after putting it on a couple of months ago I am glad that I did.

My friend (that owns the knife shop) went on a cruise this week and I get not only to run her shop but BORROW her Classic Sebbie. :tu:

I took it apart and cleaned out all the crud then put it back together and even applied a little oil (big mistake) after I did that it started dragging big time.

After I took it apart again and dried out the oil it was fine.  I never felt a knife with such tight tolerance.

So far I like it but I still don't get the price tag ($330.00) maybe after a week of carrying it I will get it.

BTW I am carrying it CLIPPED inside a belt sheath, I am not taking any chances with this puppy (it would cost too much to replace) :ahhh

What oil did you use out of curiosity?  I know it is expensive, but CRK's grease is a worthy investment as a lube for any knife.  I have a few with that on (including a sebenza) and they have never been this smooth.

I am glad you like it and hope you grow to love it over the next week.  For me, and I think most Sebenza fans, the attraction to it is instant.  After a 5 minute play session with Dunc's large classic Sebenza I just knew I had to have one and although I have some other knives that I really like (Emerson Commander and a Spyderco Police to name a couple) the Sebenza really is in a class of it's own and for me is worth the price tag.
I'm back!!

To me I have mixed emotions.

On one hand I want to understand and feel the attraction for this fine piece of equipment
but on the other hand I don't want what I can't have.

I know and understand about Tilley Hats (blame Def) but that is $60-$70 not $330.

I have to admit I do admire the simplity of the design and the fact that not only can you take it apart but they encourage it.

It is just that price that KILLS me :ahhh

As far as what oil I used Rem Oil but even now with no oil in it, it is smooth still. :tu:

Can I include some Sebenza Insingo shots here? OK! :D

And it truly is a Razor. So far I really like it. I'm glad I went with it over the regular 21.

I had an Umnumzaan before so I knew what to expect when I got the Insingo.

I'll have to throw my small micarta inlay on here.  Question for the Sebenza owners; guy wants to trade his Large 21 for my small micarta classic.  Those with the large sebenzas do you think its worth it?

Prime that is gorgeous!!!  :gimme:

Zack, if you aren't happy with the size I'd trade personally.  But then again I don't like the inlays.  :D

I just wish there was a Medium Sebenza.  The inlays don't bother me, I just wish my pinky didn't hang off the back.

Was wondering how much an umnumzaan is worth trade wise.
