Oh great, the intermission is over
Really like those 112 Rangers ,  TG

Thanks Marcellus.

I have another 112 that I discovered on ebay two weeks ago.The blade was etched with "Buck Knives Since 1902".The date code indicates this was built in 1995 but the most important option this knife possesses is the nickel silver frame.During the past seven months of collecting Bucks,I've only seen about six 112's with N/S frames among the thousands of Bucks that I've viewed.I bought three of those.

This is a limited edition of 1,000 knives produced in 1990.It depicts a Whitetail deer in their natural environment and was etched by Buck Knives. In the fifteen years prior to this Aurum Etchings performed this work.

Buck Knife purchased Aurum Etchings and their revolutionary etching technology in 1988-1989.Aurum Etching's equipment was then installed at the Buck factory located in El Cajon,California which then allowed Buck to perform this work in-house.

I'm so swamped with work around our house and cabin that I haven't had enough time to take care of more important business, such as buying more Bucks.LOL

I had some time after cutting a tree and mowing the grass,so I put it to good use and snapped some pics.

The first one up is another Buck commemorative knife which celebrates Bucks 10TH anniversary at its new Idaho manufacturing facility. They used stabilized pine for the handles with star shaped imitation garnet inserts and garnet spacers. It also incorporates a nickel silver frame.

The second knife is edition number VII in the 10 knife Harley Davidson series which commemorates milestones in their history. This is only one of four that uses a nickel silver frame as apposed to a brass frame used in the other six editions.

The blade depicts Harley riders, who have formed a club and ride as a group.

Thanks David.I waited several months to find a good deal on that model.

Here is a recent introduction by a dealer named Copper and Clad, which carries on with their series of Bucks produced using 5160 steel.

As can be seen this is a 112 Ranger with the mentioned 5160 steel and charcoal scales.

My older brother, who has always looked out for me,came by yesterday and brought one of his knife bags full of goodies.

He pulled out several Buck knives and asked if I wanted to buy them.My first question,of course was, how much? He then pulled out several pieces of paper which were paypal receipts and asked if I would pay what was printed on the receipts.I knew the price of the "Build Out" 110,the Custom Shop 112 and the two dot 112 but I was unsure of the other two. When I offered to buy just two since I had the other three he exclaimed this is an "all or nothing deal".

So now I'm now the proud owner of five more Buck knives,OMG.

Here is one of them before I take it into the shop and polish out the scratches and buff it to new condition. It's a Custom Shop 112 with a brass finger groove frame, redwood handles with brass pins and an S30V blade.

Thank you Steve.

I'm falling behind and can't seem to catch up with the pictures but more importantly getting these new acquisitions into the shop to clean and polish them.

I do not comment much in this thread, but I love all the Buck's. Most of the knives you have shown are flat out beautiful. Thank you for sharing them with us. Makes me want to bring out my vintage Buck's, but I have not touched them since they came back from a Buck spa treatment. I have a few other Buck's I need to send in for a spa treatment and one for warranty work.

This is another of the five knives I bought from my older brother.I already own this model but the deal was presented to me as an "all or nothing" purchase,so I took it.

It is a really nice and unique 110.It uses 154CM blade steel complete with a nickel silver frame, blue Dymondwood handles with a Buck anvil cut into them.

I mirror polished the spine of the blade, removed minor scratches and then buffed it to a beautiful finish.

Hi Toolguy

Growing up my favourite knives were (what I know now) Pakistani copies of the Buck 110 & co.

I have a few Bucks, but I'm not a fan of the 420J steel.

Seeing an old favourite knife pattern with blade steels I like is truly a treat  :tu:

I'm trying to buy another 110 hunter made with the very rare ATS34 steel. This was a steel that was a favorite of one of America's greatest knife makers,Bob Loveless.

I took these two into the shop for a spa treatment. They needed just a little work removing small scratches.I then performed what's become my standard procedure, that is to mirror polish the spine of the blade to match the rocker bar and then buff it to a fine finish.

Here are two that received this treatment.

First up is the 10TH anniversary celebrating Buck's new plant location. The second is my latest Harley Davidson 110 Hunter.

I have three 110's, one from 1972, 1995, and the newest I believe is from 2013.  I would love one with a stag handle, but I am not sure Buck ever made one. Does anybody know?

Edit: I may have answered my own question.  I just looked on Ebay and saw a few, but holy crap, the prices! Some were over $400.00!! Way too much for a knife!! lol.  Do you think these were made by Buck this way, or are they ones that were either specially made or modified?

I bought one of those 55's and I paid $32.00 for it.It seems a little small and compared to some other Bucks,a little expensive.I know,I'm not one who usually complains about price but this is my humble opinion.

Capt I just ordered a limited run of a Buck 110 with a N/S frame,CPM-154 steel drop point blade and a very unique color of handles.

It's one of your favorite colors but I won't disclose the color until I have it in hand and I'm able to post some pictures.
