I think my favorites of all your Bucks are those David Yellowhorse ones.  Really quite beautiful.  Congrats on one heck of a collection.
+1 I'm a huge fan of turquoise

I really like turquoise as well.  On these Bucks it makes them pop even more.

Thanks guys, they are very special knives.

I don't have anything this spectacular to add at this time but there are a few here that are special. The first one up  is a current production of the 112 Ranger using 5160 steel with oak Dyamondwood handles.

This is another 112 Ranger and what sets this apart from others of this production is the signature engraved into the blade.

I almost forgot to mention the accident I had with this knife. After polishing this knife it slipped from my grasp.Anyone who has handled knives for any period of time knows this.If a knife slips from your hand the best course of action is to "step back jack". Never attempt to grab the knife mistakenly believing you will save the knife from damage.A damaged knife can be repaired but a severed finger may never be properly repaired.

In any event,I followed my own advice and stepped back and allowed the knife to fall to the concrete floor of the shop.It had several deep dents and scratches to the brass as well as slight damage to the point of the blade. It took about an hour of judicious use of abrasives and re-polishing this knife to bring it back to new like condition.

Bummer on dropping your knife. I have had that happen on occasion, never a fun situation.
I do not know if you are aware the Chuck Buck that signed your knife passed away last fall. He will be missed. I had the privilege of meeting him and visiting his home. Again he was a very kind and down to earth person. So your 112 is a special one.

Beauties as always and a special one.  :tu:

I have dropped my fair share of knives and am about 50/50 if I go for it or not. I specifically remember my GLOCK field knife slipping out of my hand over concrete and the blade was faced straight down to the concrete. I went for it and snatched it up just before it hit. Nothing damaged and no fingers lost. Sadly I have gone for it in other situations and cut myself like a idiot.

I've dropped a few knives when working in kitchens.  My 1st reaction is try to grab it but thankfully I've resisted, glad you did too.

It was disappointing because I had just removed the scratches and polished it to a new like finish.Oh well stuff happens.LOL

Yes I was aware of Chuck Buck's passing and I was saddened to read this.I did start a thread about his passing with a few humble comments. It's always disheartening when an icon of the knife industry passes.

Thanks again LB for another wonderful anecdote, specifically about the Buck family.

I was fortunate to buy a Buck Bowie with Chuck's signature, which I displayed in an earlier post, within this thread.I'll post it here as well.

It's a decision that's made within a heartbeat.Experience has taught me that there is no knife worth a severed finger.

I've dropped a few knives when working in kitchens.  My 1st reaction is try to grab it but thankfully I've resisted, glad you did too.

Experience pays dividends in such situations.

Awesome!!!!!

Hey bro, I've been looking at those 5160 Bucks!!!! Do you have any yet?

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_9?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=buck+5160+steel+knives&sprefix=Buck+5160%2Caps%2C1309&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Abuck+5160+steel+knives

Yes I have eight.

Two each of the 110's,two of the 112's and one each of the 102,103,105 and the 119.

The guy who owns that company is named Claude. He's shipping another 110 to me this week.

If you're interested in a 110,Claude has a new model which he listed this past week.

It's really interesting, not only for its use of 5160 steel, but also for its use of G10 scales and a drop point blade.

I apologize for my absence but I'm mending from an accident. The only time that I've used one of the 5160 bladed knives was to cut some rope and do some whittling. It worked well for both of those chores.

Thanks brother.

I've been riding motorcycles all of my adult life and I've never suffered any broken bones in three minor mishaps.

This is the second broken bone that I've suffered in 33 years of riding a bicycle.LOL.
