MecArmy Illuminex .... (tiny flashlight), anyone?
on: December 12, 2015, 05:51:15 PM

Does anyone have any of these?

I'm seriously considering one.

Looks a lot like the Olight i7r, just shorter and uses a different battery, of course.

But you twist it, it comes on on low (which isn't really that low), you keep twisting and it bursts with 130 lumens. It can be charged via USB.

:D

If I get one, it'll be an aluminium version because of the price... I could get a cooler version from outside my country, but with these outrageous prices (especially after the higher USD rates), I'm not willing to pay even more if it gets stuck in customs  :ahhh

Moreover, that's one weird hard-to-find here type of battery ... so I may have to shop for batteries, too on eBay x-)

The price seems reasonable and they include the battery. They may be cheaper soon.

I would not worry about the battery availabilty since, unless you use it constantly, it should last for a few years. The light will probably die before the battery needs replacing.

Lol, thanks. I read somewhere that the light has a 5-year warranty, but now I can't recall where

They have the 5 year warranty , if I remember correctly, only if buy as a MecArmy. If you buy CooYoo or BlackWater I'm not so sure, but the price is much better.

On the SPAMCORP site it reads that the battery isn't included, though :ahhh ?

wtf, first in "Battery Quantity: 1 (not included) "

Then in "Package Contents: 1 x Blackwater Kite. AL Mini Flashlight, 2 x Spare O-ring, 1 x Stainless Steel Keyring, 1 x Beads Chain, 1 x 10180 Rechargeable Battery"

SPAMCORP. I used the link provided by Gareth. They have the brand you mentioned and another one coyoo something, that was also mentioned. The coupon works at least on the one you mentioned.
I also tried to use the blf coupon but it was not working.

I did not notice that.
I assume they mean that no extra battery is included, apart from the one in the light....

Yeah, as you pointed out, I can read :dd: :D :D

Hm.. but yeah, they mention that there is a battery included *twice*. And if no battery, that'd render the light useless for me :ahhh Until I order one from China again. Hm.

$18.69 .... you know how to get to my heart :dd:

I haven't completed my order yet, though. For some reason, I still have my doubts, lol :D I was ready to spend $40 on it, buying it from BG and now I'm hesitating here  :ahhh Even if I have to buy a battery separately, it'll still be cheaper  :ahhh :twak:

Wait a bit, young reader.
I asked them, now, if the battery is included and I will let you know. They should reply in one day.

Oh, well. Thanks, but I already ordered one   >:D Anyway, depending on their answer, I'll either order one separate one from eBay or not. On the other hand, if they can ship batteries separately, why can't they ship batteries with lights

dks, what colour did you get?

I got gray ..... usually the coloured aluminium looks nice, but in the pictures I didn't like the red & blue & gold ones.

Blue, but I may stop/change the order depending on whether the battery is included with this or the coyoo something brand.

Hmmm.... alright.

They seem to come in blister packaging, though, so in order to remove the battery, they'll have to destroy the package?  Or there would be some specially packed ones for this very site *crazy*

I missed your comment. Yeah, I see. Well. Even if I bought MecArmy, let's say, and the light went bad.. it would've been too much of a pain to send back or do whatever for them to repair it. So, in either case I'd (have) hoped the light to work well.
