Hi everyone. I just bought this as a gift for a friend of mine. He works as an electrician, is a knife lover, and also customises Opinel on his spare time. I hope he'll find it useful : I feel no Leatherman belongs in a display cabinet.

Yeah I bought it more than half discounted.

Do you think one can dremel on the etching to give it a more custom look ? The pattern is tiny but if I take my time I should be able to follow it. My question is regarding the rendering – would a dremel bit cut deep enough to look ok ?

The more I think of it, the more I want to give this numbered item to my father-in-law. Two reasons push me towards this decision :
1) I want to buy my friend a regular TTi I'd etch as he'll better appreciate a true custom, be it imperfect ;
2) that'd get my wife's 'approval' for the extra expense I just made without her prior consent

Now to watch a griffcustommetal YouTube tutorial one time more to see what's required.

It seems like Cabela is having a 10% off promo until 5/30. So, a Camo Charge TTi can be had for $162 + tax.  The Camo will wear better with use than the Monkey one IMO.
