I made an attempt and it turned out okay. I used the copper from a mouse trap like I saw somewhere here on the forums.

          There's an answer that works for that (and for many other things) : heat shrinking tubing :)

I started to use it in electronics, then to protect knots or friction zones on some cords, used it as size tuning pearl on variable-size lanyards, as "rattling protector", and now as a protective layer for my LD12 : http://goo.gl/pfQNeU

After "microsoft everywhere", it's time for "heat-shrinking tubing everywhere"

==> is not pretty, but very efficient for those jobs  :multi:
