I routinely carry either my MUT, OHT, Surge, ST300 as well as the accompanying bit kit and bit extender.
Spirit plus (yes more stuff then MT..):(Image removed from quote.)372g. Again ST300 MT with sheath 333. Juice XE6 226g with sheath (juice own small). For me XE6 is smallest belt carry. Though with bits I have belt carried wenger titanium as well (total 154g). Just tool ok already for pocket carry.I would say for me 200g ok, 300g still fine sometimes, 400g rarely (approx, sure size does matter as well). And under these usually pocket.

Belt carry? or inside your manbag?I carry the SOG powerlock, no problem. I tried to belt carry the Surge and MUT before, but too heavy for me.

The two heaviest I carry are my Core and ST200.
I think its about having a good sheath that fits snug to the belt. A belt thats not flimsy either so the sheath stay snug. These make a big difference in how comfortable the tool will be. I carried my OHT all day today very comfortably. It's certainly not as heavy as my surge but with the right sheath I feel large MTs can be comfortable.

I use custom leather sheaths that fits very close to the body which makes all the difference. Pete
I have been carrying the Surge more than anything else for the last year or so, even though it constantly threatens to pull my pants down! I tried pocket carrying it, but it is way to big and bulky for that, so it stays either on my belt or in my bag.By the way....(Image removed from quote.)Looks like someone scratched up your Surge a little bit!
