Thanks to Luminere London(smurfing smurfs ) I had to take a something of a diversion to get out of London this evening. My route ended up taking past Buck House. As per usual,Her Maj didn't bother to come out to wave at me,but I did take a couple of pics...

I had to look up Luminere London and I think it sounds kinda cool. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-35335214

However as a lifelong Edinburgh resident I can also tell you that the Edinburgh Festival sounds much cooler when you're not the one trying to get too and from work every day whilst fighting hoards of hapless tourists and dozens of people trying to give you flyers every single day.......for a whole smurfing month.

Nice pics though Kirky.

Crowds were wild! I gave up on the idea of walking to Waterloo after seeing Picadilly, went to Victoria instead...made me think of the route of humanity in the War of the Worlds :ahhh

Did you get to stare wistfully into the eyes of your beloved as she set sail down the Themes? :D

Now all you need is a deranged Phil Lynott raving at you in a dog collar and you're all set. :D

It least it's been popular. :D

Seriously though; I've been stuck in huge crowds at Edinburgh's new year street party and it wasn't at all fun.  It was the last year before they started ticketing it in an effort to control the crowds.
