Like the Snow Peak Titanium Sporks the best, so far. Have a church friend that likes to hide mine, and the purple one did go in the trash once by accident - unsure if Rob was involved at the time or not. But the purple one is missing again... /grr

The Ka-Bar version is good in that it has a deep bowl in the spoon and not much leaks out - even though the bites are seriously small. There are no metal parts in the Ka-Bar either so it could by-pass classic metal detectors. That's about the only tactical advantage I can see other than it being black.

Functionality and reliability Snow Peak has been there.  :2tu:

    Ka-Bar Tactical Spork

Ka-Bar Tactical Spork has small crevices, and they fill up with food. One can poke the knife part in, then blow each port out. The idea, I think, is so moisture doesn't build up inside.
Haven't tried to lightly sharpen the nylon blade yet. First try at Walmart, with sweet and sour chicken, the knife tore more than it cut. And I was able to eat with the knife better than the spork due to the small tines.

All in all the Ka-Bar is a collectible, but the Snow Peak wins for use.  :D

Note: Still not found what happened to the short Snow Peak Titanium Spork, but it was far easier to pack around on a keychain - with a snap hook!

I wanted a spork with a longer handle than the shorty to fit the entire length of the chopsticks case...so I shortened a standard one. The handle now says "SnowPea"  :D

Seen the collapsible chopsticks were no longer in production. They were a tad expensive. Now wondering how good they were and if another version will return.

Some nice looking sporks in here.  Love your spork mods Spork Lord  :tu:

Here is a spork from an unlikely source. A bicycle tool company. A bit on the larger side but solidly built.

They were a gift. I would have never bought them for myself  :D

Vargo makes a decent travel chopstick with wooden tips, smaller and less expensive than the SnowPeak. Personally I prefer just a regular pair of bamboo Chinese style sticks...the SnowPeak follows the Japanese style of narrow pointed tips.

I shorten them to "youth" length and have added a loop of cord on some that is large enough to not interfere with using...but keeps  them together (as in the Soto pic I posted previously)

These are the ones I tested, from left to right
Light My Fire Spork, wonderful spoon, ok fork and terrible knife. I don't like when switching from one end to another, either my hand will get dirty or my food will get contaminated.  :td:
Wildo Sweden, ok spoon, fork has awkward angle, good knife. weird looking.
MSR folding spork, good reach, everything is just ok, but it flexes a lot during use.

All three are made of plastic, they flex a lot, which I dislike a lot.  :surrender:

Sea to summit aluminum spork, light weight, strong, good spoon good fork, it works! :tu:
Optimus Titanium sprok, light weight, strong, good spoon good fork, it works great ! Also it is polished, very easy to clean.

This is a knockoff of the LMF in stainless. Personally I really don't consider the double-ended type a true spork...and like Kampfer, I don't like switching ends.

I found these at Cost Plus World Market...they are very reasonably priced and don't have the annoying "knife" edge - http://www.worldmarket.com/product/stainless+steel+spork.do?utm_campaign=bazaarvoice&utm_medium=SearchVoice&utm_source=RatingsAndReviews&utm_content=Default

I agree on both points. The LMF is more of a knork and a spoon - not really a true spork. And if you need to utilize both ends in one sitting, your hands are going to get messy

Don't use that if you like pepper!  If you sneeze while eating with it that could be fatal!   :ahhh

I like the looks of the narrow head of those.  Seems like it would be a lot easier to eat with.
