Robertson Drive Anyone?
on: January 23, 2016, 08:10:24 PM
I had my multitool confiscated at the airport (TSA) over the Christmas break.  Had my pants on and forgot it was there.  Anyway, it was a Paladin 510 that I have had for well over a decade and being a Canadian, I have made a few changes to it, including adding the Robertson bit.  The tool itself has that shield over the gears and is easier on the pocket.  I still feel like I have lost a friend  :(.  I have been living here in Kalamazoo for almost two decades and I can find uses for that Robertson head.  Currently I am monitoring eBay for the return of my friend, but just in case I miss it, if anyone out there has a Robertson bit, I am willing to buy it.  SOG stopped making them five years ago.

That is rough.   :(   I added a 3d phillips to my Surge so I could have a no.2 robertson in the large bit driver. Works well and easily replaced.

Hey there, as luck would have it I stumbled upon a Robertson drive a while back I'd be happy to sell it to you.

Sounds good zoidberg. I'll give him a few days and if I hear nothing back then you're next in line. :)

Matt I think the SOG you sold me has a Robertson drive?  Once it gets here I'd be willing to take it out and trade it to someone for another tool to fill the empty slot.  It would be coming off a non-locking tool.  Not sure if that would make a difference or not.  I will have no use for a Robertson driver.

I can't stand Robertson drive screws. They seem to strip so easily when trying to remove them from deck boards.
